At the end of August, one of the ipsy offers was a Trust Fund Beauty Rich & Famous Nail Polish Trio for $18 (with free shipping). These are full-size polishes in Got Yacht?, Champagne Problems, and Just Talk To My Lawyer. Since I didn’t get a TFB polish in my Glam Bag this month, I went ahead and ordered the trio.

ipsy had a 35% off code for the TFB official site, so I also went ahead and ordered their Boss Pack, a set of 6 mini polishes. The colors included are Drunk Dial, Sex Tape, Insta-famous, I Woke Up Like This, Publicist on Speed-dial, and Elegantly Wasted. That last color is the one that ipsters got in their bags.

What I really like about these polishes is that they have really fun names. Something that took some getting used to was the fact that the brushes are a little long, so that made application different than using Zoya polishes. You need to have two coats to really cover the nail even though all the colors look like they’ll give complete coverage in one coat. All the ones I bought have a semi-matte look when dry. Considering the $15 price tag of the regular bottles, I expected a nicer finish and more resistance to chipping.

For first time buyers, I recommend trying to find a coupon code or buying a 6-pack (which gives you more colors at less than $5 per mini bottle). A major plus for this brand is their beautiful packaging. The bottles are rectangular in shape, so they can neatly stand next to each other.

I personally am looking forward to future polishes from Trust Fund Beauty because they have a fun concept and have had interesting limited edition collections in the past. I would LOVE to try out their color-changing polishes if they ever come back. Their tongue-in-cheek, reality TV-inspired nail polish names will draw in curious nail polish fanatics but they have a lot to compete against with more affordable and reliable brands like Zoya and Essie.

p.s. In my September Glam Bag, I ended up getting a full-size bottle of Elegantly Wasted, so I will be giving my mini to a friend.
